Fareware Dinner in NZ

Since I met my neighbor Mai first week, we all regret that we met too late. After I gave her New Year card, she replied to me a letter. Originally she thought we have 4 weeks to get along, and I told to her that we can meet in New Zealand less than 3 weeks. So from the first week we met, she every day mentions to the date I will leave and tells me she misses me. About the communication for us, we only speak English with a little bit Japanese. But she cannot speak very well English, therefore we also use Kanji writing and her electronic dictionary. Other foreign students also would like to make friends with Japanese, but it's very difficult to touch them because of language problem.
Because my schoolmates wasted 3 days to 4 days of mine, at last I decided to skip classes 2 days. Yet I also want to spend my time to talk with my neighbor Mai. When I decided to go to Auckland at night, I ran to Mai's home and informed her that I would not go to her home in morning as usual. But we still could have big dinner outside on that day. I don't need to worry too much because I gave her amulet to protect her in peace and healthy. So I was very busy on 14th. I went back to Hamilton from Auckland at 3:30 P.M., one of my schoolmate went with me looked very tired, yet I quickly went home to prepare many things, then I went to Mai's home to walk with her to the another bus stop. The first photo is the only cat in Mai's home, her name is Soaks.
And because on that day is Valentine's day, my homestay boarding gave me that chocolate rose, I could not eat too much sweet since I am in teeth correction. I transfered to give Mai, she was very hungry at that time.
When we waited for bus, she was very serious to write her homework, I didn't know why she became more serious at her homework. Before she told to me that she didn't study hard in Japan for her major, marketing.
Finally we arrived to the local famous Italian food restaurant, Iguana.

And because of Valentine's day, they offered two glasses of strange tomato juice to us. I dislike tomato.

She ordered the middle chicken pizza. We shared our food each other.

And I ordered the signature dish of the restaurant, roasted chicken.
She really likes to take a photo, it's different from me.
At the beginning I told to her that I treat her, and she didn't get it. Until I paid off bill, she asked me why. I told to her this is my last week to stay in New Zealand, and I also earned some money from stock few days ago. She was shocked to say that Tawianese are generous and it's different from Japanese. I think I am happy that I gave her our good culture shock. Next article I want to talk about this kind of behavior in Taiwan, we call it "Hai Pai" character.
On that day, I also took her to Waikato river, even this is her second time to New Zealand, she never been to Waikato river. But also because that, we missed the last bus to home, therefore we took the taxi. On the taxi, that taxi driver made mistakenly think that we are from chine and Japan, and then I told to him. "No, she is Japanese and I am Taiwanese, Taiwan and Japan are good friends; however, Taiwan is not chine good friend." And then we all laughed on the taxi.
I think I had a great time in New Zealand.
