Night sky of tonight

Tonight I took a walk as usual, then I saw the scene as above picture: a smile mouth with a only eye. I felt it is cute and photographed it.
When I watch the stars, I would like to learn astronomy and astrology. I must admit that I have a wild flights of fancy, because I even want to join the astronomical club in Taiwan. Maybe in the nowadays society, many younger like to make a track for the super stars; however, I like to appreciate the stars at night. It is a power to make me happy.

The last day in 2011

I did a special New Year's Eve last year. Maybe my friends feel it was nothing because I did not join our city party and counted down with crowded people. But I feel that is too normal and ordinary. Then I decided to make my Vietnamese friends happy. I guess they would never thought the happiest year in Taiwan is to meet me. If I could give others happiest memory and make them show sweetest smile, it would be the perfect thing for me.

So I took one of Vietnamese friend to an amusement place for racing game and shooting game. After that, we went shopping and took the photos as the picture I put. It is called Purikura in Japan, and we also use the same machine for taking photos which are also stickers. She never seen the bautiful photos like this style, I could feel how excited she showed on the face. And then we also invited other Vietnamese for playing sparklers at night. It seemed that they never played that in Vietnam. Yet it is our common activities. If it could be the most beautiful and unforgettable memory on their mind, I think it's really meaningful New Year's Eve for me.

How To Eat A Crab

Today is Moon Festival here. Actually I am not active, I just have a day off and eat a great dinner with duck meat and crab. I don't have the appropriate person to play the sparkler at night. And sparkler costs much money. I would like to stay at home, because I go to sleep before 21:30 now.
I still remember I have promised Linda to show her how to eat a crab by photo. Because she was confused how we eat crabs with hard shell. So the first picture just as you see.

And then I seperate with 8 feet and then turn its body to the back. Open it then as you see, it's the part you can eat. As for the shell, we don't eat that. We just eat the orange-colored part of a cooked female crab consisting of its roe, and then the white meat. You can use fork or chopsticks to eat that. It depends your habit. Mostly I use chopsticks. So if one day you come to Taiwan, don't forget to eat our crabs and other kind of seafood. If you don't know how to eat, you can tell our people. Our people would be really happy to teach you how to eat that.

Seediq Bale

It's a movie shot by our Taiwaner director. And the background of the movie is talking about a long story between Taiwaner aborigines and Japanese. At the beginning of colonization, Japanese use strong armed force for the aborigines in our high mountain. Also, we are the first country they started to dominate. During the period, no Japanese policemen wanted to go to the high mountain of Taiwan because of the boring and tough life. In this way, Japanese local government changed the article of the law for those policemen who are willing to work in our high mountain. The law made those policemen can be the supreme leader in high mountain area, that is no law can restrain their behavior. You know.. if a man lives in high mountain(2000 meter-3000 meter) and cannot find a place to solve their sexual need, it is really easy to guess what happen after that. Also, we have 258 mountains all over 3000 meters, and our aborigines escape from the Han people to move higher and higher. Besides that, high mountain has forest, then if you want to use forest resource to earn, do you think of something? That is to force those strong guy to be coolie.
Seediq is a tribe of Taiwanese aborigines, and "Seediq Bale" means the real person. So as a sentence from the movie, "A Seediq Bale can lose his body, but he has to keep his soul at any cost."
The blasting fuse is a Seediq invited to a Japanese policeman drink a kind of alcohol, and the culture differences made that Japanese thought that guy offended him. The leader of Seediq, Mona Rudao knew that Japanese government would kill their tribe for that Japanese policeman. That is a sad story, though Seediq tribe killed many Japanese, at last, they died more than 5 times people because of poison gas bombs.
It is really sad and regret. Some Nazi nationalists usually mention it to remind Taiwaner, but they ignored one thing, that is we did killed those Japanese policemen. They don't put in the shoes of their family. If we feel painful, and how about those family of Japanese sufferers? Now we are quits.
Just let us watch a great movie and a part of history in Taiwan.

Red Moon

Because total lunar eclipse appeared in the sky of Taiwan this early morning, the light made the moon look like red iris around the moon. My camera cannot show the light red iris but as you see the moon is very bright.
Recently I lose the power to record my mood at a Kodak moment. Still, I like to observe everything in my life. Just I don't want to write down my mood, sometimes I feel that is the calm before the storm. My heart is producing the chemical changes, yet I suppressed my feeling.

Geography of Japan

After I read Japan's history, recently I read the geography of Japan in Japanese. Since I will graduate from the university soon, I would not borrow the books from our library free anymore. Now every day I borrow more than ten books to read.
I think finally I know the personality of Japanese since I read their fairy tales. It is really interesting to know the differences of thinking way. So now I also have a good reason to know the geography of Japan, because I want to travel whole Japan one day. It is important for me. If I don't have learning motivation, I also do not want to go anywhere.
This series has four books. And the first one is to introduce 12 cities as follow, 北海道(Hakkaido),青森県(Awamori ken), 岩手県(Iwate ken), 宮城県(Miyagi ken), 秋田県(Akita ken), 山形県(Yamagata ken), 福島県(Fukushima ken), 茨城県(Ibaraki ken), 栃木県(Tochigi ken), 群馬県(Gunma ken), 埼玉県(Saitama ken) and 千葉県(Chiba ken).

Haircut Last Night

Last night I went to cut my hair. Because now I feel my city is almost no spring but summer. It is so hot to me. Originally I didn't want to take photos, but my friend asked me, then I would like to do that for my friend. I think it's hard to take a photo with smile. Maybe from now on I should practice how to smile in front of the mirror every day. And I think I cannot tan my skin anymore. I should accept my friends' suggestions to protect my skin. But I didn't know why when I stayed in New Zealand, their people would not think I am a Thai but not chinois. I thought chinois are pale than me and they have the small eyes with single eyelid. My schoolmate told to me because I wear on eyeglasses to be judged. And then I found not many Aisan girls wear on eyeglasses all day along like me besides my schoolmates. Ah.. I would like to be a tribe of aborigines. But I don't know which tribe should I belong to.

Memorial photobook

Since I back to Taiwan, I thought for a long time to make two photobooks for Mai and me. And I finally started to make them. However, so far I just finished until the second day we met in New Zealand.
I drew the the map of New Zealand, Japan and Taiwan. And I don't know why at that time I wanted to write some chinois sentences, maybe at last Mai asked me whether she learns chinois after she goes back to Japan and chats with me in some chinois. Anyway, the blue words in English is the translation vision for chinois words. And green words in Japanese words are the lyrics we sang in the last day I stayed in New Zealand. And then I recalled our memory as possible as I can on photobook. We met at the bus stop and we studied in the University of Waikato. Moreover, Japanese student group took the photo with our Taiwanese student group on the first day. I feel happy that we two countries have the deep friendship in foreign countries still.
On the second day, we happened the interesting thing. We chased after the bus together and on the bus we decided to have the after class adventure only our two foreign students. As we know that Japanese like the group activity and prefer to stay with homestay family. So I changed my life since then, because I did the after class adventure alone before she came to New Zealand. But not all Taiwanese are like me, most of our people still like the group activity. But this time I had the important tasks to do in New Zealand. So I should be alone to finish my tasks.
Also on the second day she asked me may I send her home after our adventure. We happened many jokes in our communication. Everyday she always tells me thank you and I am the kindest person she had ever been. All I can answer to her is that our nation personaility. We like to help others, and others feel happy, we would feel happy. At last, she used to accept our people's help in anything. She told to me that my city's people like the Osaka people in Japan. And we all laughed. As follow, that is a map for our homes.
I still need to finish the next 15 days in the photobooks. I think it would be the unforgettable memory for us. I am thankful that we were neighborhood in New Zealand.

My tutor student and his rabbit

I usually have the childlike behavior in my life. I don't like to have the window shopping in cloth or shoes stores, but I like toy stores. Of course, I like to talk with my toys on my bed. But my friends' mother also know their dolls name. Since I knew that, I found it's a crazy world that I could easy find common freinds.
Because I usually show off my dolls to my tutor student, and he also took his new rabbit to my home. He really likes to act a child to me, sometimes I make fun of him. But he knows that I am very kind to him. I just don't let him enter into my room, my room always locks safely, haha

Taiwanese Pop Songs

Now I am listening our new songs but in Taiwanese.

I am happy that our pop songs increase more Taiwanese, Hakka and other Austronesian.

Farewell Taiwan!

Now I am ready to go to Kaohsiung airport. And then I will via Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport to New Zealand. Last night I have seen some people protested the politics and then had a parade in my city. I felt sorry for them, but I have to make me better and then I would have enough power to do something.

New Year 2011

In Taiwan, we have a day off on the first day of a year. But this is not because we celebrate with Western New Year but has political factor. Sun Yat-Sen(a Cantonese)
overthrew the Qing government and established the Republic of China, which is R.O.C 100 years ago; however, at that time the Republic of China was in Nanjing of Mainland China, and Taiwan was Japanese citizens. Ironically, Sun Yat-Sen has the ambition to help Taiwan and Korea to be independent as a country. Yet ROC became a part of Taiwan for 62 years, last decade the former president tried very hard to change name as ROT, not ROC.
Basically I don't know that I should remember the lyrics of the country song or not, because in the lyrics just mentions KMT party to believe in their thought. It's same as for KMT party's song. However, I don't know that is a song for party in politics or for citizens of country. In addition, the flag of country puts the KMT party's flag inside to show the spirit.
Sorry that I don't want to shake the party flag to celebrate with ROC for establishing 100 years old, therefore this year I didn't count down with tv and then sleep earlier. I think I won't buy a little flag to New Zealand.
Since I knew Singapore people, they told me that they have 4 types of New Year: Western, Lunar Chinese, Muslim Malaysiaan and the Indian New Year. It gave me a good idea. I also hope that we could have 4 types of New Year, Western New Year would not be political festival. And then Lunar Asian New Year. Third is in July for our aborigines (High-mountain). Last one I still not have idea yet, perhaps for the major foreign spouses' New Year or in October for our Pingpu(Plain obrigines)'s New Year.
Anyway, today I still had a tutor for 3 hours in afternoon, then I got the salary as usual in the beginning of a month, this is a happy thing. And I hope next Monday I would get the New Year card from Yuki, my Japnese pal.

The way to South

I need the inspiration to wrte my assignment for note-taking of Language and Culture course. So this afternoon I decided to ride my scooter to head to the South of Kaohsiung city. I think that watch aircraft taking off and landing would be fresh to me. This weekend I went alone. Next I ordered a cup of mocha milk with a piece of tiramisu cake.

And I watched several airplanse landing and taking off. Perhaps this also corresponds my mood now.My Mom asked me whether I told to my classmates about my decision in winter break, I still not tell them. But I just want to sure the fact and then I would inform them in middle January. Anyway, this afternoon was very hot, I felt that the Santa Claus stayed in summer christmas.
After this afternoon, I found that I would like to collect the aircraft models. No wonder one of my good friends chose to fly to the U.S to make a thorough study of the aerospace engineering field.
I cannot figure out why I love to appreciate the different kinds of architecture and draw it on drawing. Only the inner desire? or this is the lifetimes persistent? Anyway, I photographed many photos this afternoon, but I chose the more photos related with architecture to show. The next 2 photos made me feel that I took the time machine to went around 1 centary, I felt familiar when I saw that.

Gardening Exhibition

Last week my Mom went with me to the floral exhibition, and she was very happy to see those melons and plants, therefore we decided to go to there once again yesterday morning. And then we saw those melons grown up and the new is we found the corn.Moreover, this time I want to find the place which reveals the gardening works. Of course, my Mom was very happy to take lots of the photos.

After that, my Mom and I went to buy some food, among those food I would like to introduce the seaweeds especially, it tasts really great.
Finally we were on the way home, because the afternoon we decided to listen to the Hakka singers in the council for Hakka affairs. But the photos were not good, then I think we would go to there next week and take the photos.

On the way to Saitama

Actually I finished the letter for my Japanese penpal faster than Algerian penpal, yet this week my room was in messy, I lost the finished letter in my room. Finally today I found it, and I wrote down the address and name then sent it. I guess she would receive the letter before next Tuesday. It's really great that Japan is closer to Taiwan. As for the letter from Taiwan to Algeria must take 1 month to arrive. And the letter from Algeria to Taiwan must take 3 weeks.
The letter I sent for is a Japanese girl who majors in German. Basically Japanese admire German cultre very much, the brands from German also sell well in Japan. The difference between Taiwanese, our people seldom crazy for German culture, but the rich peopl love to buy German goods. Even though German brands are like their spirit of low-key, our rich still can find their goods to buy. On the contrary, the goods from the USA and France are popular and well-known in Taiwan.
I found it is interesting to exchange the letter with different countries, because different people have the different ways to elaborate the letter. And she uses the diary style to write the letter. As for me, I like the graphics more than text. And our smile culture has been integrated into the letter.
I know that there is a thought for Dutch, full of courtesy and full of craft. Yet our people have the simple mind. I think that there is no garden without its weeds, so I think it's culture difference. Since our people are too enthusiasm and easy to trust the people, we used to be cheat many times. I modified my personality because of the lessons of history. I will observe each other's culture differences and sincerity to give back, but I agree that the saying "More pay, fewer complaints" from our elder.

I think this weekend I need to spend the time replying the letters. Sorry that I cannot add more pen pals now. There was a TW net pal told me to add her Polish pal as pen pal; however, I suggested her try to introduce Taiwan as she could. I believe she can do it, don't think I am super, haha.

Aboriginal Theme Park

I rode my bike to the Aboriginal Theme Park this morning. These years I was crazy for any things related with Austronesian. I think my heat of the Austronesian would continue for a decade. All I want to do is to pass down the culture. I have read a sentence by a linguist. She said that it is the greatest irony when she looks at the mother tongue is going to die. So do I.
Austronesian people prefer to use simple symbols coupled with vibrant colors. Then you can see it. As for the flags, those are the election flags to make citizen know the number who they are, after 27th, you would not see the flags anymore. It's one of local culture in Taiwan, I guess it's fresh to see in other countries.

The Floral Exhibition III

When I entered into the fruit garden, I was impressed and touched. It made me think of our farmers and traditional rurals. Also I would think of the buffalo. I seldom eat the beef, because when I saw the beef I would think of the buffalo till the land with farmers, yet today the beef which not killed by buffalo, I still feel guilty when I eat the beef. Last time, my classmates told me that chicken also need to wake up human beings in traditional rural. I think I would eat less chicken meat.
In addition, I would recall the memory of childhood. My grandma (mother side)'s home also the same kind of melon shoring. I remembered once rainny night I found a snail and kept it for a while.
Reaping is a kind of moving. I feel sorry that our government always has the American value in economic field, therefore they don't take care well in farmers and labors.
My Mom and I met a woman here, she told to us what if her home has the same kind of shoring, it would be great to see the green plants every day. I seriously thought the sentence, what I want to learn the agronomy and botany just in order to meet the extraordinary achievement.
Next, I thought of my Dad again. I wanted to try a new way to get along with him. After all, he is my Dad, and he just doesn't how to express his love for me.
This is a happy way. In here, I found many amazing things and thought of many words from the elder, they taught me lots of philosophy of life. And I also reminded my teacher had taught us how to plant the vegetable or melons when I was 7 in the elementary school. The simple world but happy.
Looked at the fruitful melons and plants, my heart is filled with joy. But I don't know how to express my joy into the words.

The Floral Exhibition II

I really like the square-shaped watermelon, it looks cute. Also, watermelon is one of my favorite fruits.
So many vegetables show here, and also the crowded people here. I just try my best to take the photos.

It is a cultivated watermelon. I am curious with European eat watermelon often or not.
Next we went to a trade show to buy the black fungus. It is healthy for the blood vessel. So my Mom decided to buy it.
The vendor also recommended us to buy the healthy food which made of the maidenhair (gingko) tree. Yet I thought it's enough to try the black fungus now.

The Floral Exhibition I

This weekend I hoped to enjoy my weekend time, so I checked the location of the floral exhibition then went with my Mom there.
And my Mom was happy to photograph by my Witte camera.
Actually I get along with my Mom better than I was in senior high. I just wanted to be more independent and freedom, yet now I changed my mind. Perhaps I changed my thought after my Mom told me what if she didn't marry and gave a birth to me, she would be boring now.
My Mom really loves the flowers, she always says that flowers make people happy. In addition, flower in chinois pronunciation is similiar with the fortune.
And our people really like to take out with dogs. You can see the photo what I photographed.

Recently Asia has the serious problems for inflation. I am lucky that our inflation controls well so far.
