228 Peace Memorial Day

Today we have a day off, and it's important for our Taiwaner. At least it's most important for me. Last night, I thought I would have a heavy heart today. However, this morning I was awakened by Mai's message, she told to me that she arrived to Japan last night and she would check her schedule to visit my city with shopping queen Ayako soon. Thanks for her messages to awake me, otherwise I would not have a light mood today.
Let's talk about 228 Peace Memorial Day, it is a memorial to the victims of 228 Massacre. It happened in 1947, and around that time Taiwan's population has 6 million. chinois army claimed they just killed around 20,000 to 30,000 Taiwaner, and some information showed that our elites were killed around 120,000 people. My Mom told me that her aunt was not killed by 228 Massacre but she was worried my grandma and went to my city, Kaohsiung to see her, she witnessed blood flowed and had become a river then survived to back, after that she was scared to death. Because at that time, the chinois troop killed everyone they saw. So now you would know why I was warned not to touch the politics by my family.
Why and how it happened? In sum, after a year and a half of devastation and plunder, Taiwan society was pushed back thirty or forty years. As a result, 16 months of so-called "Retrocession" culminated in the eruption of the 228 Massacre. On the evening of February 27, 1947, an agent from the Alcohol and Tobacco Monopoly
Bureau struck and injured a woman illegally peddling tobacco on Yenping Road in Taipei City, and this led to another member of the public being shot and killed. On February 28, citizens of Taipei protested to the relevant organizations to no avail, in fact they met with machine-gun fire from the Governor's Office. Once the situation had broken out, it was hard to contain, and it spread across the island, as people rose up in every place and rioted all across Taiwan.
What did they do and make our people cannot stand anymore? They killed people freely, and the troop raped women arbitrarily, also troop bought the things without money, what if our people informed them, they shot people and killed them. And they also made us bankrupt. Suddenly forty thousand Taiwan Dollars only valued one New Taiwan Dollar.
Actually it's also our elites fault, because we believed that they would apologize and thought they are not bad people at all. So those Taiwaner opened the port for the chinois troop, and the first murder scene was in my city and then they massacred Taipei city. Until 1995, the president apologized in public. But it is ironic. Because those new immigrants who did kill Taiwanese did not apologize, but the president who has Taiwanese descent kneeled down and apologized to the families of victims for 228 Massacre.
Today I went to the scene then mourning for those victims, because of them, it developed the enlightenment of independent thought for Taiwaner. Anyway, this is still a wound unable to heal. We just say that we need to keep the peace with a wry smile.

Water and Ink Painting

After last Saturday I went back to Taiwan, and this week I started to work as usual. Because it's still in the new year's month, I taught them to paint a topic related with Asian New Year.
In Taiwan, orange stands for good luck because of the transliteration. And the apple represents the peace, as for the pineapple means the prosperity.
I also need to inform kids this kind of information and then also teach them how to write traditional chinese on the paper. I think it's interesting, because it made me think of my childhood. I held my students' hand to write the word, and they seemed to be happy when they held the brush pen to write the traditional chinese.
Who wanna try calligraphy? I can hold your hand to write that, haha

Off to the Netherlands

Did you all miss my letter traveling? I guess my city's postmen would miss me, because I went to New Zealand almost one month. But on the other hand, I think they would be happy when they see the postcards I sent back to Taiwan from New Zealand. Perhaps they have the same reaction as my Mom to read my postcards. And how about the Netherlands' postmen? I hope they also miss me, haha
At first, I really want to thank Linda's lovely gift, and this time I went to New Zealand, I also bought a key ring for her. Actually I really want to introduce more Taiwaner friends to her, and she would feel our warm-hearted. I think as long as she comes to Taiwan, she would have the chance to experience the enthusiasm of our people.
This time I went to New Zealand, I found they have the good policy for tourists. And their people really enjoy their weekend, it's unlike our people. Therefore I decide to try outdoor activities in Taiwan. As follow, I drawed my grandpa's hometown to show Linda. It's romantic for double-hearted shape.

Hot money has retreated from TW

During I stayed in New Zealand, my Mom really worried about the hot money in Taiwan. She asked me why our currency rose up fiercely, I just could pray that our president of central bank, Fai-Nan Perng would defeat at that time. Fortunatelly, he succeeded to turn the tide since I went back to Taiwan.
So far, our people really worry about the serious inflation from chine, Korea and other Asian countries to spread to Taiwan. I can bet in this month we don't have the serious inflation. Every time I watch the news, I really want to tell chine government that you did the wrong policy to deal with currency problem, yet I would think of those tragic death of Taiwanese businessmen in chine, I would rather keep silent. I think I should spend more time on studying Viet and Japanese not comment their policies.
Also our experts think USD will defeat the EUD, but I support Germany and France. Keep fighting.

Hospitable Spirit

Okay, I really want to talk about our people's hospitable behavior. I am not sure whether Taipei's people are hospitable or not. Because they became selfish since 61 years ago. They are lack of warmness and friendliness, you can say they are close to Japanese in fashion field and not very warm-hearted as other cities in Taiwan.
As for me, I was born in middle class family in the super warm city, and before my father's economic situation dragged my mother's economic situation, my Mom usually treats my all classmates in class. When I was a child, I cannot understand why my Mom could donate the money to my school and class, yet she didn't take me to travel abroad. However, the money she donated to school is worth to study in USA more than 2 years. This kind of behavior and character, we call it "Hai pai" in Taiwanese and Mandarin languages. And my Mom just told to me that she wanted to plant the field of blessing for me, because she believed that I will have the smooth life. To me, she is a devout Buddhism.
Because I used to this kind of life, I frown stingy guys. In Taiwan, our boys are generous in general. Since our old traditional thought is that boys should have the virtue to pay bills for girls. And parents would give boys more money to do that. Also, if that Taiwanese boy would like to chase a girl, he would treat her all friends. However, nowadays Taiwanese boys are more poor to do that, I originally thought it's stingy than me. Yet after I compared to other countries situation, I thought our boys are better than other countries in this kind of behavior. That's why I frown stingy guys, for me and my good friends, we usually have this kind of hospitable and generous behavior. But our gilrs save money on shopping field, I think it's different from other Asian countries.
In addition, our girls are beneficent to poor and would like to work volunteer jobs, it makes our boys also need to do volunteer jobs what if they want to get a good impression from girls. Basically, you can find there are 3 boys do volunteer jobs among 10 boys; yet you would find 9 girls who do volunteer jobs among 10 girls. Our people love helping others and feel very happy when we help the people who indeeed.
I think it's good, but after I found the some thought from foreigners, I want to stress that we are kind, but don't treat us as idiots, or you will lose the trust of our people. Perhpas for some people, they don't care that they lose credibility. For me, I mind.

Fareware Dinner in NZ

Since I met my neighbor Mai first week, we all regret that we met too late. After I gave her New Year card, she replied to me a letter. Originally she thought we have 4 weeks to get along, and I told to her that we can meet in New Zealand less than 3 weeks. So from the first week we met, she every day mentions to the date I will leave and tells me she misses me. About the communication for us, we only speak English with a little bit Japanese. But she cannot speak very well English, therefore we also use Kanji writing and her electronic dictionary. Other foreign students also would like to make friends with Japanese, but it's very difficult to touch them because of language problem.
Because my schoolmates wasted 3 days to 4 days of mine, at last I decided to skip classes 2 days. Yet I also want to spend my time to talk with my neighbor Mai. When I decided to go to Auckland at night, I ran to Mai's home and informed her that I would not go to her home in morning as usual. But we still could have big dinner outside on that day. I don't need to worry too much because I gave her amulet to protect her in peace and healthy. So I was very busy on 14th. I went back to Hamilton from Auckland at 3:30 P.M., one of my schoolmate went with me looked very tired, yet I quickly went home to prepare many things, then I went to Mai's home to walk with her to the another bus stop. The first photo is the only cat in Mai's home, her name is Soaks.
And because on that day is Valentine's day, my homestay boarding gave me that chocolate rose, I could not eat too much sweet since I am in teeth correction. I transfered to give Mai, she was very hungry at that time.
When we waited for bus, she was very serious to write her homework, I didn't know why she became more serious at her homework. Before she told to me that she didn't study hard in Japan for her major, marketing.
Finally we arrived to the local famous Italian food restaurant, Iguana.
This is menu.
And because of Valentine's day, they offered two glasses of strange tomato juice to us. I dislike tomato.
She ordered the middle chicken pizza. We shared our food each other.
And I ordered the signature dish of the restaurant, roasted chicken.
She really likes to take a photo, it's different from me.
At the beginning I told to her that I treat her, and she didn't get it. Until I paid off bill, she asked me why. I told to her this is my last week to stay in New Zealand, and I also earned some money from stock few days ago. She was shocked to say that Tawianese are generous and it's different from Japanese. I think I am happy that I gave her our good culture shock. Next article I want to talk about this kind of behavior in Taiwan, we call it "Hai Pai" character.
On that day, I also took her to Waikato river, even this is her second time to New Zealand, she never been to Waikato river. But also because that, we missed the last bus to home, therefore we took the taxi. On the taxi, that taxi driver made mistakenly think that we are from chine and Japan, and then I told to him. "No, she is Japanese and I am Taiwanese, Taiwan and Japan are good friends; however, Taiwan is not chine good friend." And then we all laughed on the taxi.
I think I had a great time in New Zealand.

On Asian New Year Day

Oh I forgot to mention that I use my chinois last name to be my English name there, because I have done fortune-telling that would make me peace and good in the trip. You can say I am superstition or I am a coward; whatever, I will not deny that, because I am super afraid of death. What if this time I didn't prepare well, I would involve in something bad because of my schoolmates, and I really hate some poeple do nothing but crying. I hate that! Also, it proves that Taiwan had very good order than Western society, I cannot believe that night life is danger before I go out of Taiwan.
My schoolmates are kind heart, but they are lack of principle and efficiency. It's a universal character of Taiwaner. We are lack of this field's education, and we always seemed to not remember from the history lessons. So on that New Year's Eve, the only best thing is that I ate big dinner there.
Chicken meat, that is our Taiwan popular food, but in New Zealand, I found their chicken meat are not popular.
And I felt my heart was bleeding, because that church belongs to all chinois speakers, and Taiwanese spent a lot to immigrant to New Zealand. They felt very lonely when they moved to there, therefore they donated and shared the money and food to other chinois speakers for the church. But why they need to immigrant out of Taiwan? For clean air? Escape from the politics problems? And then use money to make friends in new places? Basically our Taiwaner bring more than 500 thousands USD to immigrant to Canada, Australia and New Zealand kind of countries. And the richest would bring more to Japan. But why don't change Taiwan's politics situation? Why we should give way again and again?
And the reason I said that my schoolmates are lack of principle is because she told us that we would go home around 8:00 P.M., yet until I went home on that day was already 10:00 P.M., it's not very polite that we got home late and didn't inform our homestay boarding. And she invited me anotherday to have B.B.Q. in Taiwanese church member's home. I could feel our Taiwaner's warm-hearted and they also want to give us a drive. But I had to do many things, every day I only sleep 5 hours in New Zealand, I could not join these kind of activities. Can you believe that I went home around 10:00 P.M. and I still needed to make the New Year's cards for my all teachers in New Zealand? I made 10 cards, there are 5 cards for teachers in New Zealand, of course I have to give our Taiwanese teacher for one, and one is for my roommate, another one is for my homestay boarding, rest two cards I gave to my Taiwanese friend and my Japanese neighbor.
You can say I don't need to do that, but I want to introduce our Taiwan culture. And then I still need to check more tourist information on the website, on that day I slept around 2:00 A.M., but I had to get up 5:30 A.M. because of shower time. At that time, I almost wanted to kill that schoolmate because she didn't know how many things I needed to finish at night. Also, before she wasted my 2 days because she got lost.
Of course, I think I am right, because my homestay boarding never recieved an Asian New Year card before, even she had met chinois students. I also explained that the picture is also a chinois character to stand for rabbit. And the reverse side, I chose our aboriginal art to introduce. She felt awesome. About my other kiwi teachers, they also can know our culture and feel warm through the cards. Moreover, my Japanese neighbor Mai also know more Taiwan's culture, I gave her our 1 NT dollar and told to her meaning. Since then, she is more interested in our culture.

My Japanese neighbor

What if on 2nd Febuary I kept waiting my roommate, I think I would not meet Mai and we could not become the best friends in New Zealand. When I walked to the bus stop, I saw a Western woman telling something for an Asain girl. I guess the Asian girl is from Japan.(p.s. what if she is from chine, I would keep silent) And then I asked her, "are you from Japan?" She replied to me, "Yes, and where are you from?" I said Taiwan, and she told to me that she has been to Taiwan for 5 days. Her homestay boarding is also friendly to ask me where I live, then she told to Mai that she has a neighbor. Since then, we opened the topic and claimed for other people that we are neighbors. Next, I picked her to the right place, I was worried her would get lost in the campus like my schoolmates before.
Until I saw her again was in the morning break time, she gave me a big hug, and my schoolmates were shocked when I have a Japanese friend in New Zealand. And then she introduced me to her Japanese friends, then she wanted to take photos with me. Of course, I had to introduce my Taiwanese friends to them. Later, Japanese students wanted to take a photo with me, and I also took my Taiwanese friends together.
So this is the first photo we photographed together.
But that day is also Asian New Year's Eve, my schoolmates decided to join the church's activity. Therefore the first day I didn't pick Mai home. Yet homestay boarding would pick her home on first day.

My homestay

Today I want to introduce my homestay situation, there are 2 cats, one roommate and my homestay boarding. About my homestay boarding, she is a single lady and also an artist. Also she came from U.K and moved to New Zealand for 20 years. Every time she mentioned to money, she would tell me that our money education is very good. Because I told to her how our parents teach children when we get the lucky money on Lunar New Year's Eve since we were 6-7. Parents will teach children how to invest your future, for study abroad, buying stock or something you must need. Also I told to her that our people's life style, we work hard early and then retire early, next we could bring money to immigrant to U.S.A, Australia, New Zealand and Canada kind of countries. Once, she gave me a drive, we talked about the solar panels. I found New Zealand's bus stop also use solar panels, and then I am happy to inform her more information related with Taiwan. We are the world's top three manufacturers of solar panels, and some Taiwanese immigrants live in solar house in New Zealand. Followed she replied to me that is very expensive. I am a bit shocked for that answer.
Next, this is my roommate, Dani. She is from Chile. We have many common points. She was born in March, same was I. Also, she is pisces same as my sign. At the beginning, we took the same classes from morning to afternoon. And then we live in the same homestay. On Valentines day, we met in the same restaurant for dinner. What many coincidences. But the differences are that she is more active, smoker, love dancing and drink alcohol.
This is Yoyo, he is friendly to me, and after 2 weeks, he usually sleeps on my bed when I go out.
This is Lulu, she has bad temper, only she wants more food, she would act child to me. What a weather cock.
That's all my homestay's members.

At Auckland Airport

Until we arrived at the Auckland Airport in New Zealand, it was very late around 11:00 P.M. And our teacher had to check our inn with airplane company. All of our students had to wait, as for me, I still went to the shop to buy a postcard to write quickly.
Most students think they need to take many photos and the photos should have their face and pose to show they have been there. For me, I prefer to send a postcard to myself. I can write down my feeling or just a journal. The postmark and the date stamp also can prove that you have been there. Also, I feel that I am a flâneur when I depart from Taiwan. So I want to send the postcard which is named of the love and missing to Taiwan. I feel like I am a sailor who parked at the harbour to take a rest; however, the sailor is still missing that little island.

First day out of Taiwan

I went back to Taiwan and my Mom asked me how many postcards I sent back to myself. She is smart that I used to send the postcards for several days in one time. Of course my Mom laughed at me because of postcards. I sent the postcard since the first day I left for Taiwan. It was 25th January, and we had to transfer via Australia to New Zealand. On that day, I was in Brisbane airport which is located in Australia. Our flight delayed 5 hours, all of us felt tired at that time.
And the second postcard I wrote is the Kangaroo as follow. It's Australian aboriginal art.
When I stayed here, I really wanted to see one of my friend, she studied in Brisbane for 5 years. As for my cousin lived in Sydney, it's too far to see her. After I stayed in New Zealand, I think the sky of Australia is more blue than New Zealand. Mostly New Zealand's sky is grey blue, only the noontime you can see the azure blue sky.

Taiwanese Pop Songs

Now I am listening our new songs but in Taiwanese.

I am happy that our pop songs increase more Taiwanese, Hakka and other Austronesian.

Ich liebe dich, Taiwan!

Now I am listening the song which is very familiar to Japanese and Taiwanese. The last day I left, we listened this song and sang the melody.

Since I stayed in New Zealand 4 weeks, I found that I love Taiwan more than before. I did the powerpoint to introduce Taiwan when I took the speaking class in New Zealand. Everytime people ask me the romantic love, I just smile but keep silent. In fact, I usually stare the photo as follow, and then think the history in the past. My heart is still full of pain when I think of the hopelessness eyes in the photo. And then Pinpu tribes almost disappeared in Taiwan's history. It was photographed in 1871 A.D. by Thomson who is from Britain. When teacher asked me the military service in Taiwan and my opinion, I almost want to tell her what if we have the female president in 2012, I would like to do military service same as male for a year. Because our boys are weak-minded to fear of war and protect Taiwan. However, I think it's hard to have a female president in 2012 in Taiwan. So I just replied to her that I think it must be in Taiwan.
I know I cannot touch politics, that's why all I can do is to touch economics. I have thought the worst-case estimate. What if.. then I would like to learn Jews way to re-build. I hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. Because I really don't want to see the repeating history.
Anyway, this time the harvest I gain is to market Taiwan. When I left to New Zealand, I taught many Japanese students to say "I love Taiwan" in chinois and how to greet with us in Taiwanese. So I can hear many times "Wo ai Taiwan". It's the voice inside my heart. Of course, I also invite Chillian, Filipino, Thai, Malaysian and Korean friends to come to Taiwan.
From yesterday to today, I rode my scooter around my city and said hello inside my heart to the city. I standed on the beach then heard the voice of sea and breathed the smell of sea. I really want to record the sounds of Taiwan. And now I would like to climb on the top of mountain to shout the title, ich liebe dich, Taiwan, wherever and whenever.

Bungy jumping

Hooray! I'm home now. Since I went back to Taiwan, I feel very happy. I even told to my schoolmates that my lover is Taiwan. You know how much I love Taiwan. So I told to my Japanese neighbor, Mai, "Please love Taiwan as much as Japan, what if you think I am very kind to you!". She told to me that she will try. Yesterday Japanese students cried many times and they touched our Taiwanese student group a lot. What a funny thing is that we miss New Zealand very much not for Kiwis but because of Japanese students. Same as Japanese students do. But because now I am tired, I just want to upload my bungy jumping video first.

Actually I wanted to say "Hi, I come from Taiwan", yet I felt spinning when I just said "Hi!" And then I just said "woo~" while I fell again. After that I was watching the upside-down world. Am I brave? Before I was a bit scared by my crazy schoolmate, she screamed more than 2 minutes. Also she called her mother and said she is afraid. In addition, can you see the girl who wears on pink overcoat sit next to me on the video? She is also my schoolmate, and she called me many times in my chinois name and asked me whether I was nervous or not. Then you will hear she said "Ting, just jump" on video, yet she hesitated over than 1 minute. Originally she wanted to jump with me... fortunatelly someone told to her it's more danger, then she gave up (thanks some one saved me).
After I done bungy jumping, I feel that I have just been born-again! Thanks Gaga give me courage to jump. I am acrophobia. But now I think I will challenge the sky-diving in the future.

2011-02-17

Last night in Hamilton

Today I did many crazy things, first of all, I went to Lake Taupo for bungy jumping. Yes, I did it finally. Actually I am not afraid of bungy jumping at the beginning, I just thought it can prove that I grown up. Yet, my another schoolmate really scared me. If you really want to watch what she did before jumping and the process, tell me, and I will depend the situation to share with you. So scareful.=~=
Well, I really don't like this face of me. However, it's the best photo to prove that I did bungy jumping.
Also, I forgot to mention that I applied the facebook account because of Japanese friends. But I didn't post my vedio there. I still not used to the public discussion with other strangers.
Second, I went to the bar in Hamilton tonight with my homestay boarding. And I ordered a glass of Waikato beer. To tell the truth, it tastes not bad, but I still don't know why people like to drink beer. Followed by I entered into the sky city and then played the bowling. And I treated my homestay boarding. Even at last I lose my homestay boarding, but we did enjoy time tonight. As for photos, now I am tired to upload.

I booked the Backpackers in Auckland

Just now I did my first time for backpackers. Thanks to my homestay's boarding. She was so kind to me. I feel I am a rover of city. So tomorrow night I will head to Auckland and see their sky tower at night. It's unbelievable.
Today I had a wonderful day. I ate a great lunch and saw the kiwi birds. On the bus, I discussed with my other 2 schoolmates about shopping behaviour of Japanese students group. We cannot believe that they go shopping every day then still enjoy shopping. P.S. Chinois also love shopping.
One of Japanese students said every one loves shopping, yet she didn't know that our group didn't go shopping. As for Chillian students love dancing clubs and drinking alcohol. I asked my schoolmate, "how do you think of shopping?" They replied to me that every one loves shopping, but it would cost lots of money. Also, New Zealand is not a good place for shopping, what if they stay in Hong Kong or other countries, they would go shopping. However, they go shopping not often. Because they don't think that shopping can bring the happy to them.

Obiter Bus

This morning I went to Mai's home as usual, because yesterday I went to Hamilton Lake by my own and didn't go to her home for waiting her to go to the University, she looked worry me. And she gave me a letter this morning when I was in her home, followed by she asked my plan this afternoon, I just replied to her that is secret. Of course I will not join her chinois food restaurant plan because I must get along with 3 chinois students. What an embarrassing situation for me.
I think it's time for me to farewell with this city, Hamilton. Also the day before yesterday I went to art shop to buy a brush and 2 piece of papers, then I made some small cards for my Japanese friends.

They were very happy to recieve my card, as for Monna Mai, I have given her a special souvenir to bless her peace and health forever. I have seen her hang it on her bag. Besides that, I asked Monna Mai to eat big dinner next monday. She agreed with me, so next monday I will catch up the bus from other city back to Hamilton before 5:30 P.M., because I will go to Italian food restaurant with her.

This afternoon I still feel chill with my friends cancle of Lake Taupo. All my head is to say no. I find that our Uni students' plans are sucks than Japanese Uni students plan. They will have 2 activities, Waitomo Caves and Rotorua tour by Uni, then they plan to take the air balloon in Halmiton Lake. I have tried to ask Kazumi change the date of air balloon, because at that time I have been back to Taiwan. However, she said that I can stay in New Zealand with their Japanese students until they leave New Zealand. Also she added because I am friendly for them, so they will treat me very well what if I stay there alone. What a bad news and a good news for me at the same time.=_=

I think the good solution is to take the night bus to arrive to the Lake Taupo and sleep here for one night, then it would not waste time. Same for Auckland. Suddenly I found I really like to solve the problem.

2011-02-10

Thursday Night

I don't know how to describe my feeling here. I am angry at my schoolmates wasting my 3 days and I cannot visit as the more places as I can. However, next friday I must leave New Zealand.
I still not see the Alpaca, haven't been to Auckland and try bungee jumping in Lake Taupo. Other plans I gave up already. Haiz~
Tomorrow Yoko, Ayako and Monna Mai will go with a chinois student to eat chinois food. They asked me whether join them or not. I just smiled not answered. And Kazumi group has shopping plan, she also asked me my plan.
After Monna Mai finished her homework with me and left my home, I thought and thoght, finally I decided to wander the city for farewell. And next week I decided to skip 2 days for Taupo and Auckland.
Even I don't have the homesick, when I found our currency is going strong every day, I worry about Taiwan's situation. Yet no one can understand my complicated mood. Still, I want to have the classes with those Japanese students. I almost think I could visit to Japan as soon as possible. I am unlike the others cannot go aboard because of economic situation. On the other hand, I don't want to get too much emotionally involved and feel like pulling myself together again.
So tomorrow after the class, I will take the bus to go around the city and it would be the best way to say good bye to all.

Japanese Students and I

It's easy to guess who am I. And the girl who wears on grey clothes is Aya Chan, because she is the youngest student, 18 years old. And the girl who dresses on violet overcoat is Saito Mai. I always call her another Mai, even teacher also learned my way to call her.
And another girl next me is also called Mai. She is from Waseda University, and we will leave New Zeland earlier than other Japanese students group. Sorry, I forgot her family name. So far I still call her Waseda Mai. I will try my best to remember her family name. It's unlike my family name, Wang. How easy to remember!
And now I really want to kill Ayako Shopping Queen, because her photograph skill is very poor. My skin became dark. The photo is photographed with her school's teacher. The teacher calles to Suzuki Keiko. She always calls me Ting Chan and really likes to talk with me. She will go back to Japan tomorrow morning. Also, she gave me a little gift. I feel very sorry to her because my souvenir has ran out. Therefore I remembered her address, after I go back to Taiwan, I will send our postcard to her. She seems to very happy. In order to present our Taiwanese culture, I will write calligraphy to her. Indeed, because she is to teach Japanese students their native language.
Actually today I was not in mood, because my schoolmates still have problems for traveling with me. Sometimes I really want to yell. I would rather to travel by my own. No one can change my plan.

2011-02-08

I am active

Since yesterday afternoon I knew our teacher is half Maori, I talked a lot with her. Actually since yesterday I found that I might not pretend to ignore the only chinois student, Nana. Everytime she looked at me, and I just quickly turned my body to keep talking with Japanese students. I usually make fun with Aya Chan. When we talked about something, that chinois student would add something into our conversation. Same on the class. Whether I don't have magnanimity to treat her? Should I give her chance to talk with me? My schoolmates said I am lost of control to treat Japanese, actually I just want to make someone knows what if she wants to introduce chinois student to me, I would rather eat my lunch with Japanese students. However, I made Japanese friends for 3 Mai(same name), Aya, Ayako, Kazumi, Yoko, Saki, Shiori, and other Japanese students name I forgot it. I have persuaded 3 Mai, Aya, Ayako, Kazumi, Yoko and their Japanese student groop teacher Keiko San to come to Taiwan. Of course my city is the best. And I almost introduce our 12 Taiwanese students there for them. I think the interesting thing is that their teacher really likes to talk with me, even she introduces the Japanese literature to me and I usaully met her on bus.
I name after Ayako as Shopping Queen, and she names after me Postcard Queen. =_=
This afternoon I was happy to ask Yoko San who majors in economic at the university, and she looked very scary. At first, I asked her opinion of Japanese business's good points. She said business is not related with economy. Ok, I changed the question, next question is the viewpoints of American economic. She told me she just studies history of economy. Fine, I know the history of economy, so I asked her the Netherlands. Followed by she told me that she is not Japanese and ran away. Even Keiko Sense laughed at Yoko's reaction.
So Aya Chan has to teach me a easier and short Japanese sentence every day, and on the morning class we cooperate perfect, because each one Japanese takes the electronic dictionary. I wrote faster, and then exchange our answers, what if there are more unfamiliar words, I can direct the Japanese student who searches the words in order to work together. We have the high efficiency to finish the discussion.
Yet today I was unhappy when I passed the note to Kazumi and we Taiwanese with her laughed her name in Kanji, and then the next seat's chinois boy took our note to see what I wrote to her.
Everytime when I heard Japanese speak in Japanese, I will say "にほんごでしゃべらないでください。" Then they will say sorry, sorry and sorry.
In addition, I take Monna Mai home and assist her homework in English. The day after tomorrow she will come to my home to finish her homework.
Last I talked over Kazuni and one Mai to skip the class with our Taiwanjin to Lake Taupo for Bungy jumping. They will ask other Japanese students to go with us, but it's secret, because their Uni is not allowed to try bungy jumping. Tomorrow I will take their photos to show on my blog.

Amazing Wellington

Anyway I did something silly and I am safe here to talk about my Wellington's trip. I took the night bus at 10:oo P.M. on Friday night and spent 8 hours and 50 minutes to arrive Wellingtion. After that, the first building I saw is Wellington's Railway Station.
I happened many amazing thing here, the best thing I think is to meet two Korean girls at McDonald. Originally I heard the right one girl spoke English and thought she is Japanese, her name is Elena. However, she is a Korean. The middle one is my Taiwanese schoolmate, Wendy. And another pink girl is also a Korean, her name is MinJin. She told to me she wants to go back to Korea as soon as possible. At the beginning, I encouraged her should go out on the weekend and just talk, because you have to speak English with others to improve your English ability. She felt that I am really kind, so she asked me for email and took a photo with me.

We went to Tepapa Museum, Bee Hive and took the train in Wellington. And we also sent the postcard to ourselves to remember our memory of Wellington.

Wellington's trip

Finally I will go to Wellington this weekend, in this week I faced many prolbems. But I have to cancle my plan to visit Auckland, too. It sucks. Perhaps I have to skip class for one day to go to Lake Taupo, then I would have a day off to visit Auckland on next weekend.
This afternoon I went with 3 Japanese for their shopping day. I also named one of them, Ayako for Ms. Shopping. And because I were there, they should speak English. No Japanese language! Then they asked me how to say kawaii in Mandarin. Among them, Yoko asked me why I didn't want to buy, and I told to her that I boycott two countries' products. She suddenly noticed each cloth's place of production. Since then, only two Japanese went shopping, and we just researched the place of production.
Now I am really tired. I really want to shout in the sea. I suddenly miss a friend who is also my junior high schoolmate. She studies in United State now. I think now I have experienced her mood. What if she is be with me, we would go to Auckland and more places than I planed. She understands what I think, and I could know what she wants immedietly. Also, today is her birthday. Anyway, happy birthday to her.

日本人

Alright, I totally enjoy today because I speak English almost all day along. And I spent my time on chatting with Japanese and Taiwanese. I also asked Japanese students group's teacher how to say don't talk Japanese in the class. Their teacher seems to be sastified with my question. In my class, there was a Japanese told me that she was considering to change the upper class to another class because she thought it was too hard for her. Yet I encouraged her, don't give up! I can help her! She seems to think I am a kind person. So she didn't know that is because I am too boring to take class with many Chilean. Also I don't want to give the chance for that chinois student to talk with me. That's why I need to those 2 Japanese students be with me in the class. It would be better for me. Don't hit my head! I am really kind to tell her what teacher said and how could we do, also the answer we gave each other five many times today.
Besides, I also become to my neighborhood nearby Japanese student's best friend here. She told me this is the second time she came here, last time was two years ago. However, she told me that last time she didn't talk too much with foreigners but only Japanese. Of course, she introduced me for her all Japanese friends, and I introduced her to my all Taiwanese friends. In the lunch time, she came with one of her Japanese friends to eat lunch in our Taiwanese students' area, yay~
So I am looking forward to next week we would eat lunch together, and it would be the largest group than Chilean. How do you think? Today my mood is super good.
After the afternoon class, I coopperated with my good Japanese friend, Mai. I took her to the downtown and went shopping something. About the stationary I took them to the Warehouse stationary, and she still remembered where the supermarket is. Woah, this is my first time to take around supermarket in New Zealand. Of course, we happened something lucky, because we don't have the member card, in this way we could not get discount. But a woman would like to borrow it for us to get discount. After that I introduced to her that Mai is from Japan and I come from Taiwan. She said happy new year to me and then gave me a big hug. My Japanese friend was surprised and asked me how did her know today is the new year's day for Taiwanese. Actually I was also surprised, too. Perhpas other Taiwanese volunteers did something great, who knows? Whatever, I had an amazing day here.

p.s. I will persuide Mai to apply MSN account to chat with our Taiwanese, that is our popular communication way. Let me think the 10 good points by using MSN to make her apply one account.
1. We Taiwanese students chat with English after class for homework. (it does not waste time.)
2. If she is very shy to communicate with foreigners, she can find my other Taiwanese friends to chat with.
3. What if she feels that is difficult to ask her homestay family, she can ask me on line.
and then I still not to know, I will think more good points.

我很喜歡

Because it's my secret mood, so I choose to write in some language you don't know.
Somebody said that I am a crazy person, today I was out of controlling to talk with Japanese.
But I just surprised something I met. I really regret tonight I went to church for the so called chinese New Year party with my schoolmates. Otherwise I could chat with my Japanese neighbor on the bus and show her the sunset and stars here.
Anyway, tonight I went back home close to 10:00 P.M. in New Zealand, it's realy late here. I just now phoned my teacher and told her tomorrow I will not join the B.B.Q. party to celebrate with new year. She said I could sleep right now then tomorrow still go with them. However, she didn't know that I need to make 8 New Year cards for Uni's teachers, my roomate, homestay boarding and the Japanese girl today I met. I cannot catch up time, and it means that I will sleep only 5 hours tonight. In this week, every day I walk more than 3 hours a day and only sleep under 6 hours. That's why I have understood the most detail for the map of the city. Besides that, I keep the secret that I plan to visit Wellington this weekend. Because my schoolmate is inefficiency in everything, for example, they could walk across playground for 1 hour, but I just need to take 15 minutes. And like today, one of them claimed that we would go back to home around 9:00 P.M., yet I delayed 45 minutes. Before that, they have made me cancle my schedule I have planed, I hate that. The worst thing is they have poor sense of direction and always ask me for help. No! No way! I will travel my way without them but only Wendy. So long! I lose my patience for waiting them, I cannot believe they just photograph all day along with different poses.

Everyday in the class there is a common question: why are you learning English? the best reason to me is a secret: because 瓷器人 told me what if I speak their language, in this way Taiwan is a part of them. That's why I swear that I must learn English as well as my first and second langauge. I don't mind that my friends chat with or have friends from 瓷器, but when I pretend to be silent, it means that I don't want to talk to them. Don't introduce them to me, I don't need to learn chinois anymore.

p.s.我真的很討厭瓷器人說你好。對啦!你好,但是我不好!我真佩服某位同學說要來這裡學英文卻變成來這裡交瓷器人朋友,可能他還需要學中文
