It's a movie shot by our Taiwaner director. And the background of the movie is talking about a long story between Taiwaner aborigines and Japanese. At the beginning of colonization, Japanese use strong armed force for the aborigines in our high mountain. Also, we are the first country they started to dominate. During the period, no Japanese policemen wanted to go to the high mountain of Taiwan because of the boring and tough life. In this way, Japanese local government changed the article of the law for those policemen who are willing to work in our high mountain. The law made those policemen can be the supreme leader in high mountain area, that is no law can restrain their behavior. You know.. if a man lives in high mountain(2000 meter-3000 meter) and cannot find a place to solve their sexual need, it is really easy to guess what happen after that. Also, we have 258 mountains all over 3000 meters, and our aborigines escape from the Han people to move higher and higher. Besides that, high mountain has forest, then if you want to use forest resource to earn, do you think of something? That is to force those strong guy to be coolie. Seediq is a tribe of Taiwanese aborigines, and "Seediq Bale" means the real person. So as a sentence from the movie, "A Seediq Bale can lose his body, but he has to keep his soul at any cost." The blasting fuse is a Seediq invited to a Japanese policeman drink a kind of alcohol, and the culture differences made that Japanese thought that guy offended him. The leader of Seediq, Mona Rudao knew that Japanese government would kill their tribe for that Japanese policeman. That is a sad story, though Seediq tribe killed many Japanese, at last, they died more than 5 times people because of poison gas bombs. It is really sad and regret. Some Nazi nationalists usually mention it to remind Taiwaner, but they ignored one thing, that is we did killed those Japanese policemen. They don't put in the shoes of their family. If we feel painful, and how about those family of Japanese sufferers? Now we are quits. Just let us watch a great movie and a part of history in Taiwan.
Some people say waiting is a beautiful thing, yet some people hate waiting for someone or something. But this time my Algerian friend sent a letter to me since February until this month I finally got it. It has taken for a long time to wait for the letter. Fortunately the letter didn't get lose in the way to my home. She introduces the castle in Algeria to me, it's my interesting part. In addition, she also wishes me happy valentines' day though it has passed, I felt so happy to receive her wishes. Because four months ago I was in New Zealand, I wanted to reply to her my days in New Zealand. In this way, I printed my photos with my Japanese friends to her. Moreover, I gave her a postcard which I bought in New Zealand. I also write the hello in Arabic at the beginning of the letter and the envelope. I hope their postmen would see that and smile, and my letter would send faster to her hand. Moreover, I printed the special photo which is a photo when I left and photographed on the bus to her. Besides that, the beginning of June has a big festival in Taiwan, that is dragon boat festival which celebrates and memorizes a patriotic poetry. I hope the letter would arrive to her home no more than half month. I feel Africa is so far from Taiwan.
Because I usually write a lot and get a long replying letter with Yuki. I am a bit looking forward to meeting her. And she also wants to have her backpacker trip in my city as her 18 years old experience. This time my envelope topic is ice cream but a common advertisement board in Taiwan and Japan. I guess Yuki would feel so familiar the icon I drew. In addition, this time I found we talked much deeper around race and nation. I estimate that I replied more than 2500 words to her. Still, I also cannot believe that I almost could not stop writing to talk her more. However, I am in final exam week. I think next time I still can talk to her more. Last, there is a great movie coming in September. It is a movie related with our aborigines and Japanese army. I cannot wait to watch it. Seediq Bale also means a real person in language of Seediq tribe.
Because total lunar eclipse appeared in the sky of Taiwan this early morning, the light made the moon look like red iris around the moon. My camera cannot show the light red iris but as you see the moon is very bright. Recently I lose the power to record my mood at a Kodak moment. Still, I like to observe everything in my life. Just I don't want to write down my mood, sometimes I feel that is the calm before the storm. My heart is producing the chemical changes, yet I suppressed my feeling.
Since my birthday passed, I started to be looking forward to Linda's birthday. And now is the month that Linda was born in. I found that I was not good to use words in birthday message. Mostly our people just know the sentence begins with "I wish you..." and "May..." Besides that, we only say happy birthday in different languages as many as we could speak. I think it is a pity that our school and textbook didn't teach us how to bless in English. So you may see our people know difficult vocabulary related with British literature or Business fields. I thought for a long time to write something meaningful for Linda, because I don't want to write the short sentence and wish her a happy birthday only. Anyway, I hope it could arrive to Holland in time. It would be better.
One of my habits is going to the stationaery store and buying cute staff. Finally this month I could buy this kind of fan shape birthday card. I hope my Japanese friend Yuki would like our stationary staff. Actually I wanted to wait for her replying letter and putting the card inside, but she was really busy for her midterm exam. In this way, I think I cannot wait for that day, it would be more late to arrive her hand. Perhpas this year I would have a chance to meet her in Japan. I am still not sure now, I have too many things to handle in this summer.
Today I got a postcard from Japan. And it is a Waka(Japanese poetry) written by a Japanese emperor. I love it and thank my friend, Yuki. Summer came, but I miss Spring. Also, four years university period almost passed. These days I was thinking about what will I be after another 3 years. So I spent most time chatting with friends but not for blog writing.
After I read Japan's history, recently I read the geography of Japan in Japanese. Since I will graduate from the university soon, I would not borrow the books from our library free anymore. Now every day I borrow more than ten books to read. I think finally I know the personality of Japanese since I read their fairy tales. It is really interesting to know the differences of thinking way. So now I also have a good reason to know the geography of Japan, because I want to travel whole Japan one day. It is important for me. If I don't have learning motivation, I also do not want to go anywhere. This series has four books. And the first one is to introduce 12 cities as follow, 北海道(Hakkaido),青森県(Awamori ken), 岩手県(Iwate ken), 宮城県(Miyagi ken), 秋田県(Akita ken), 山形県(Yamagata ken), 福島県(Fukushima ken), 茨城県(Ibaraki ken), 栃木県(Tochigi ken), 群馬県(Gunma ken), 埼玉県(Saitama ken) and 千葉県(Chiba ken).
Today I went to the post office and sent the letter. Last month I had a busy month. And now I finished half courses, the rest of subjects are not tough, I feel relieved. Since my Dutch pen pal Linda went to New York and had a good time there, I also wanted to fly with her luggage, haha~ This time I decided to draw our Taiwan beer to make friend with Heineken beer. Actually this year I drank many times, maybe I just wanted to test my drinking capacity. In addition, I really want to know the feeling of drunkenness, however, I have never drunk. Therefore, I still cannot understand the past history of drunk and be cheated examples on our aborigines. Besides that, I found a good topic to introduce my best Dutch friend. Through the culture exchange, I also can learn more words in English. In the past, I was weak to express our food, but I will continue to improve my weakness.
