Congratulation on Germany and the Netherlands

In recent days, I could feel the soccer fever over the world, however, we have no special feeling and no heated discussion in department of English students. But when I went to the German class, classmates will be lively discussion on the German team. As for foreign pals asked me which team I support, I just said I support Dutch and Germany. I didn't spend too much time to watch the game. Also I didn't like the bet for which team winning the Champion. Of course there are other Taiwanese friends ask me, "Don't you think we miss something in this World Cup?" Then we were frustrated since our government don't pay attention on sport or culture. Everything depends on your own until you become an international star, then the Government will say you are Taiwanese. While other Asian countries make fun of Thailand's poor, I see the protection of Thai culture. They were just unlucky to meet Soros in 1997. Last night, more Taiwanese shift the focus on the Wimbledon Tennis Match in U.S. Taiwan's Lu knocks out Andy Roddick at Wimbledon. Taiwan's Lu stuns Roddick at Wimbledon.
The 26-year-old, ranked 82nd in the world, also became the first Asian man to make the last eight at the All England Club since Japan's Shuzo Masuoka back in 1995.
"I was upset because my father passed away already. I am really proud to share the victory with him in the sky and I hope he saw the match," said Lu.
"I did it for my father, myself and all the people who have supported me. We learned tennis together. China has laid down the conditions, as long as he changed the Chinese nationality, he can receive a lot of money, yet he refused. And Taiwan's government has criticized him not patriotic but didn't offer him the fair treatment. We schould reflect ourselves. It's good that we adpot the children from Africa or the poor, but we pay fewer attention on our children? Many children are excellent, but they cannot pay the airplance ticket cost for match? In addition, we also have the poor children, why don't we take care of our olders and children or poor?

Rendy Lu has been in the pursuit of our distant dream. Whether my dream is so far away? I don't know...I think I could work harder, anyway, try my best.
