As a matter of fact, Japan had the serious earthquake and tsunami yesterday, and I more worry about the volcanic eruptions. Because Taiwan is generated by the two compression plates. It made me used to the earthquakes. And it is not a bad thing that we have 10,000 smaller earthquakes in a year to release energy. What if we don't have the earthquakes, I would worry and pray to release energy. Compare to other countries, they rarely happen or seldom face the small earthquakes, until the earth release its energy, it would be serious more than Taiwan. The strong energy release would catalyze the volcanic activities. Fortunately, Taiwan is not a volcanic island and Pacific Ocean eliminates the power of tsunami from Japan to Taiwan.
Even there is also an another country in serious earthquake, our news reported all day for Japanese news. I guess because there are many Taiwaner immigrants and tourists in Japan now. Thankfully, so far my Japanese friends and all Taiwaner are fine in Japan.
After this event, I found I have a tacit understanding with Mai. We thought the same thing almost at the same time, afterwards I checked message on facebook, she sent me the message at the first moment of the earthquake. And she could not contact with internet and cell phone. As for me, I heard the news when I rode my scooter on the way to work, and then I quickly sent the message to her phone and tried to contact to her by cell phone. Yet it could not dial. I just could pray all afternoon. Until I went back home, the first moment we could contact each other, we also had the same response and the same words.
I told to my Japanese friends that they should come to Taiwan for sleeping if they still fear for the powerful aftershocks all night. They also agreed it is a good idea.
